Because we're the Mangans

It all started out at 1:40 AM on Monday. I woke up to mom and dad talking. I went into their room Our flight had been cancelled at 11 that night. Mom had been on the phone for 2 hours while i was sleeping. I got up and asked them what time we had to leave. they said NOW. We had to drive to plattsburg, at 2 in the morning, from plattsburg to boston, boston to NY, NY to miami. There was a 6 hour layover in NY. BORING! Then we took a taxi and now we are here.Instead of going from burlington to detroit to miami. Mom just lost her 3.50 $ flip flops. All this happened because we are the Mangans. Nothing is ever right for us. There are no real grocery stores. There is a Walgreens, but a creepy hobo sits by the door so i am afraid to go there, and a CVS, which doesnt have real food. We walked for miles to find breakfast. We ended up getting a Krispy Kreme at CVS and a bagel at starbucks. Now to do it all over again. The pool and ocean water is hot, like a hot tub. Its not even really refreshing. They give you free M&M shots while you are sitting at the pool. Our hotel room has a door right to it, not even a elevator to get to it! It is super nice and I will post a video of it soon. We have eaten at starbucks, rosinellas, a french bakery and cafe and now i think a place called grill fish or something. My dad is here for work so for most the day it is just mom, pad and i. If you love to shop for clothes and bathingsuits, this is where to stay, no joke! There are so many clothing stores its amazing. Vacation

We are off to Miami in 3 days!!!!! I am so excited. I cant wait to go there! It will be nice to get away from the house and Vermont. I will miss cliffy though. Here is him, being his normal cute cuddly self! I just got this whole new idea to redo my room. I love change! I went shopping but didnt get much. I got a thing to hang over my door. A sign that says dance like no one is watching, a few magnets for all my magnetic boards, a water bottle and gifts for pad for his birthday. I want to paint it pink with white peace signs or just pink. Pink is the theme color of my room. I want to re-organize it, get a new desk, a big comfy chair and ya. Doubt all that will happen, but i have a dream. Haha.! Write while I am in FLORIDA! TTYL!

New Hampshire

I got to go down to New Hampshire with a great friend of mine on Thursday and I got back yesterday. Truth is, I wish I was still there cuz right now, I am watching Pad, which, let me tell you, is a job that you should get paid for. He is my brother so of course I dont get paid but he needs so much attention, when you try to do something alone constantly, I hear, "Lex do something with me" "Lex i want food" "Lex Im bored" Ey ye ye! If he had listening skills I wouldnt mind being here with him. Anyway, back to New Hampshire. It was so much fun. My friends dad knows a guy who has a house with a barn near it. The barn is brand new and is still being worked on. There is a loft thing upstairs and that is where we stayed. It was small but comforting. It was a two hour drive. We stayed in a place which is called Sugar Hill. When we got there, after word we went to the North American, famous, Polly's Pancake Parlor. It was soo good! I got chocolate chip pancakes. After we went to the lake to swim. Friday, we hung out and went to the information desk. We took Michaela (my friend)dog to the river to swim then we decided to go to the water park. There was an option of Buy after 3, Tomorrow free. We decided to that. So from 3-6 pm we went to THE WHALE'S TALE (BTW take the time to scroll all the way down and check out the Banzai Pipeline video. That was our favorite ride!) Saturday we went there too, because of our pass. After the day there we had dinner with the guy that owns the bahn. That is how he spells it. We were up until midnight playing airhockey and ping pong. I accidentally erased all my photos so I only have a few. Sunday, we woke up at 9:45 and went to Pollys again then we had one last stop. It was one we could not not go to. Chutters. The worlds longest candy counter, in Litlleton NH. 112 feet long counter filled of joy. I brought back my brother a gummy fried egg. They had some bizarre stuff! Then we headed home. Here are pictures of Chutters.

I've been meaning to write...........

BUT, I've been busy. I was stuck in NY (litteraly) until tuesday of last week. Our car broke down 2 x and now we have 2 new cars. They are both subarus. The 2010 outback and the 2010 Legacy. They are fine. will get us where we need to go. I have been wanting to make a movie with my video camera but it is hard with one person and they are always dumb ideas. Oh well. Me and pad are watching Hoodwinked I was introduced to it by my guidance teacher, Mr. Martin, about different perspectives. It is a great movie. Tomorrow we are going to the mall. Yipee! I have a gift card to use. My summer is going good so far. i am just glad Im not at school. Isn't everybody?

Summer!

Yahoo! School is out! Well, actually there are 1 and 1/2 days left, so its really close. And most likely by the time you read this I will be out. I can't wait. I look forward to going to Miami, and Buffalo, where I can see my cousin, Carolyn. We just talked on the phone last weekend for like an hour and a half. It was really nice. I feel so left out with the buffalo crew, it's nice to know what is going on. This past weeken I was at my friends house for 2 nights because my mom and dad went to their reunion. Coll, I hope you had fun. Anyway, while I was there, we saw Marmaduke, about the great dane. It was really cute, but it was like anyother movie about dogs. This morning I am going to perform a play, with half of my class. It is called The frog prince and the princess brat. I am the brat. Haha. Time for me to get ready for school. Bye!

Even MORE stuff

So, my feis went well. I got a 2nd and two fourths. I was really proud of myself, because there were 20+ competitors. It has been hotter than the high Hades here. It was like 90+ the last 2 or so days. Yikes. I want to thank my moms (awesome) friend who gave me a Target gift card. Lee DyWize won American Idol. Good job lee! Now i have moved onto So you think you can dance and Glee. Try them. They both take a little while to adjust to, but i both enjoy them very much. I am going to 6 flags with my class on June 11th. I am performing a play called The Frog Prince and the Princess Brat. I am the princess brat. Haha. Well, write later.

Lots of stuff

I have lots of things to tell you people reading this. I know I only have a few fans that actually read this but it gives me something to do. I am going to ANOTHER feis this satrday and I am very confident in myself. I have been practicing and I got first at a mock feis in practice. I had a chourus and band concert yesterday. We did OK. I will post a video of it later, but i dont want to bore you too much. It is down to the last 2 people in AMERICAN IDOL! Dah da da! Well I am ready for bed. Sorry!

Dublin, bikes, travel and rain

Today, since it was cruddy we decided to head to Dublin to see the city. We returned our rental car, hallelujah, and are staying here for two days. We took a coach bus here. Shortly into our ride I started to count how many bikes. Total, I counted 157 bikes, which I thought was a lot. It is lots more like America here. I saw subway and McDonald's for the first time in a while. We are staying at a hotel called Camden court. Funny thing is we we looking for a hotel and I had the computer so I typed in family hotels and first one was Camden Court. I played travel agent and read about. I gave them the computer and 20 minutes later they told me they were booking my hotel. Only bad thing is anything bad about the hotel they can blame on me. Oh well. Tomorrow we are going on a bus tour. I never got my last brownie... Instead I got a Kit Kat. Oh well, it was good. We ate a door down at a huge restraint called the bleeding horse. It is the oldest bar in Dublin. Which I think is cool. Got stuff to do, well not really but hands are cramping because I am typing this on my iPod. Thanks for reading. This is the Drombeg Stone Circle that is 6000 years old (Maybe I touched the same rocks my ancestors did, hahah!!) The next one is the pretty beach we stopped at on our way home from Kinsale. The third one is me and Pad running down the farm's driveway. Here is an awsome Abbey filled with graves in the town of Timoleague. People burned it down over 400 years ago. Personally I think it looks like a castle, but my dad says its not. We got to go in it. It is all filled with old and new graves. I said if I lived near there that would be where I would want to be burried. The last one is a sign I love! (Except the fact that it has to do with beer)

Today...

So yesterday the boys ended up not golfing so we went to a little town called Schull and ate lunch on the water near a graffiti filled playground. Mom saw a cute bag but didnt buy it because there was no one in the store to pay. Then we came home, went to the Glandore Inn for a drink then went back to the Marine for dinner. I really wanted a brownie, but nooo. Everyone but me was full. Today, a rainy day, the boys did golf and we girls went shopping. We went back to Schull to get her bag, and someone was there. Then we went back to the town Bantry where I finished getting souveniers for me and my friends. I got a very cool necklace that i really like. Now we are home and eating dinner here. maybe we will get a brownie tonight. Mom doesn't seem like she wants one. Only one more day til we have to go to Dublin for a night. Wow, 10 days went by VERY fast. The picture is of Bantry

Today...

Today, April 25th we took a 'roadtrip' to a town called 'Kinsale' that I really liked. It was big and there were lots of wild colored buidings. We went to the Marine after some begging and had brownies that were really good. On them was this fruit called a gooseberry or a physalis They kind of taste like sweet oranges. We were laughing really hard because we were asking every waitress what they were called and a man said pisalis and then he whisperes "like you piss" salis. So we remembered it like piss on salad come to phind out it is pronounced (Fiss al iss) Tomorrow the boys are golfing and me and Mom are going to walk in the town Skibereen. Very interesting town, but I like it. That is the pic of the room me and pad sleep in.
